CHS NEW DIRECTOR

Greetings from CHS National Office. This is to inform you all that the Namibian
Catholic Bishops’ Conference, in its Plenary Meeting on 25-29 January 2026, has
appointed Ms. Petronella Masabane as the new Director of Catholic Health Services.
The new Director will assume office on Monday, 16 March 2026.
Ms. Masabane holds a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in
Social work and also holds Diplomas and Certificates in various fields. She has long years of
work experience with the Ministry of Health and Social Services as the Deputy Executive
Director (Deputy PS), and as Acting ED in the same ministry. At present she serves as the
Advisor to Global Fund and previously as advisor to EpiC Namibia Project on Social Welfare
Workforce. Her other fields of work included the Commissioner of the Namibian Competition

Commission Board, Chairperson of the World Health Organization Programme Sub-
Committee for Africa, Member of the Board of Directors of the NQA, Member of the Council

for Health and Social Services Professions in Namibia Board etc., to mention a few.
