The Namibian Catholic Bishops’ Conference (NCBC) has appointed Rev. Fr. Dr. Benny Karuvelil, CMI the current Rector of St.Charles Lwanga Major Seminary as the New Secretary General of the NCBC. Rev. Fr. Apolinarius N. Martin has been appointed as an Associate Secretary General of the NCBC, that means the two will work hand in hand to lead the pastoral and administrative engagements of the NCBC. These appointments are effective 16 February 2022 for the period of three (3) years.
Rev. Fr. Dr. Taiju Thaliath CMI has been assigned as an Interim Acting Rector of St. Charles Lwanga Major Seminary, while awaiting the appointment of the new Rector from the Holy See, NCBC announced.
